About the Laureate
Andreas Waag is a professor of semiconductor engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and one of the leading researchers in the field of nitride semiconductors. His research group is studying aluminum nitride (AlN) for applications including UV LEDs, AlGaN templates, and photonic devices.
About the IKZ International Fellowship Award
The IKZ International Fellowship aims to bring a renowned scientist to the institute for scientific exchange and to shape a new R & D direction at IKZ. The Fellowship amounts to 10.000 € and will be awarded within the framework of this workshop.
