Girls' Day 2025: Exciting insights into the world of work at IKZ

This year's Girls' Day offered female pupils the opportunity to explore the world of work at IKZ. They visited various departments, met female employees and were able to experiment for themselves. It was a day full of new impressions and perspectives.

An exciting day comes to an end: the Girls' Day participants leave the laboratory where they have carried out exciting experiments under professional supervision.

Girls' Day 2025 offered six 12-year-old girls the opportunity to visit the das Leibniz-Institut für Kristallzüchtung (IKZ) and take a look behind the scenes. The young participants explored various departments and talked to employees, who introduced them to their tasks and career opportunities. The aim was to give the girls an impression of the exciting career opportunities at IKZ.

One of the highlights was the opportunity to get hands-on: The girls carried out experiments and immersed themselves in the fascinating world of materials research.

The day was undoubtedly a challenge, with lots of new impressions and information. The girls discovered the variety of professions and fields of work with curiosity and interest.

Girls' Day is an important initiative to get young girls interested in careers in areas where women are still underrepresented. The IKZ is proud to be part of this movement and hopes that the participants go home with new ideas and perspectives.
